We had the privilege of having Straight Up Tree service remove several trees from our front/back yards. They were very easy to communicate with, prompt, professional and budget friendly! They cut down and cleaned up a ton of trees safely and all done in one day! They were flexible with last minute changes on which trees we wanted down and quickly got the job done. Would recommend them to anyone looking to have tree work done!

Peter and his entire Straight Up Tree Removal LLC crew were extremely friendly and professional. It was incredible to watch them work as a well-organized team from start to finish on each tree they removed.
They also returned phone calls and texts to me right away when I contacted them. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for tree removal.

Not only that but they support their community, Peter found time in their busy schedule and blessed us with a free tree removal because my husband told him that I am a veteran. From the proposal stage to the job completion, Peter and his team were amazing. He wanted to make sure I was absolutely happy before he left and then told me to call him the next day if there were additional areas I wanted trimmed (which I did not) and he would come back. Very fair price and the guys did it quick and left yard like they were never there. I will definitely use again for any tree trimming/removal need.

All it took was a message! I needed service and they helped. Financially flexable, timing was within a week, mess cleaned up and I didn't have to ask! Nice work. I had a stack of large logs which I needed to have removed from my property. Peter quickly provided a quote, the price was reasonable and the job was done within a week. Definitely would hire them again.

5 stars all the way one of the best services I've ever had from anyone in the service industry. Do yourself a favor and don't bother calling anyone else. This is the only tree company you need to call to have your trees removed. I had 11 trees marked for removal. I had received six different quotes from six different tree companies with quotes ranging from $4,000 to $11,000. Straight up tree service cold called me after seeing the flags on the trees. Not only did he have the most competitive price, but I have never seen anyone work harder and more efficiently to do a job than Peter. Thank you very much Peter. I'm going forward. You will have the rest of my tree service business.

We have been talking for years about getting rid of some trees in our yard. When they started to die last year it was necessary. We called a couple businesses in Traverse City and got quotes that were so out of our price range we gave up. Then I heard about Peter's tree service and gave him a call. His quote was very fair so we agreed to go forward. He and his crew showed up on time and within three hours had three trees down and my yard totally cleaned up. His crew made sure we were satisfied before leaving. If I could give 10 stars to this company I would. Thank you Peter for your wonderful service.

I was looking for wood chips to make a safe walking trail on steep terrain during our maple syrup processing in March. I left messages on a Saturday morning at 4 local tree businesses. Within 2 hours I get a call from Peter! No one else ever called back. Not only did I get some beautiful wood chips for my trail, I also got some beautiful Oak firewood, all for free! Peter and his team are professionals, great communicators, fun to work with, and have outstanding integrity. I will definitely be engaging them for my future tree service needs. Peter and his team came and removed 3 large pines from my back yard in Interlochen, 1 of which was within 25 feet of my home. They brought the crane in and got it done without any issue. They removed, chipped, ground the stumps and hauled everything away same day. Peter has excellent communication skills and I really appreciated that through the bidding process, the days leading up to the project and even post project. He is very thoughtful and genuinely wants to do the best work possible.

Doing what I thought would require a bucket truck, Peter instead, climbed high up into several old pines and oaks to remove deadwood and overhanging limbs in my back yard while Adam hustled on the ground with ropes and clean up. Peter has been a great communicator throughout the process. Very safety conscious. We had 3 very large trees close to the house removed. It took a little longer than expected. It was a rainy day and the heavy equipment made a mess of the yard, but they leveled it back out for us before leaving. The price seemed very fair.

My first experience with Straight Up Tree Service, though necessitated by misfortune, was made much better by "SUTS". They did a great job, did it quickly, and communicated with me (from 300 miles away) throughout the process. Wonderful job. I will certainly use them again. Thanks to Peter and his crew!

Straight Up Tree Service did a professional job all the way around on our tree removal. They came out, marked all of the trees, took pictures and gave us a quote. They showed up right on time, did everything they said that they were going to do (and then some!), cleaned up and checked in as they were doing the job to make sure that everything was going as expected. When the job was done, they charged us exactly what they had quoted and made sure that we were happy before they left. I would highly recommend them!

Straight Up Tree Services has done a couple jobs for myself and other family members and they are exceptional. I've never seen anyone work as hard and fast with quality and excellence in the forefront as Peter and his team. I wouldn't think of another tree service, as they do an exceptional job and are reasonably and competitively priced. One thing I liked in particular was the expeditious turnaround time, and when you're told somethings going to happen, it does. Continue to do the great job that you're doing in serving Northern MI.

Owner came directly out to provide estimate with different options. Fast turnaround on estimate with extremely reasonable pricing options. Professional communication throughout entire process. Provided photos during job since I was not home the day of the service. I was very pleased at the lack of surrounding tree damage. Will definitely continue to use for future tree pruning needs!

I've used Straight Up tree service three times now. Peter is very responsive, affordable (for the high risk work!), and just generally kind and helpful contractor. He took out some gigantic maples last year, then came to break down a giant Beech that fell in a storm within days! This year he took down a few more dead branches and a leaning tree, and sculpted my ancient snow apple. Can't recommend them enough!
